In Numbers: Seawork 2017 at Mayflower park
For the second consecutive year, Seawork returned to Mayflower Park, Southampton, with four colossal Jumbo Exhibition Halls constructed by De Boer as well as the purpose-built pontoons constructed by Walcon Marine displaying over seventy vessels.
Welcoming over 600 exhibitors and 7,600 marineprofessionals from across Europe and rest of the world, Seawork International2017 was hailed a resounding success featuring overseventy vessels and 10,000 products and services displayed across the threedays in June, seeing an increase from the 2016 show, requiring De Boer to enlargethe main exhibition halls.
Fay Reeve, Seawork exhibition manager, commented: “This year has beenour most successful since the show’s inception in 1998. Overall we had 610different exhibitors and over 7,600 visitors and De Boer played a central rolein creating a world-class venue fit for the international marine industry.”
With Seawork displaying more products than ever, De Boer’s four JumboHalls made up the two main exhibition hall areas; the Atlantic and PacificHalls, which used a reinforced flooring system allowing them to withstand theweight of the largest marine exhibits – such as the REINTJES marine gearbox weighing up to three tonnes.
