Wireless camera streams to chartplotter
US-headquartered navigation and communications specialist company Garmin has announced the GC 100 marine camera, a wireless camera solution designed for mariners who want to keep an eye on areas inside or around any boat.
The GC 100 streams 720p HD video to display directly on a compatible Garmin chartplotter and any other chartplotter on the same network, which Garmin says provides superior image quality without taking up valuable space.
The GC 100 can be installed nearly anywhere, inside and out, and even in total darkness like an engine room. Hardwired for power, the camera is ready to use with one-button setup. Up to seven GC 100 cameras can be paired with the chartplotter, with the ability to view up to four camera feeds simultaneously.
Available now the GC 100 is compatible with the GPSMAP 8400/8600, GPSMAP 7400/7600 chartplotter series as well as the GPSMAP 10x2/12x2 and GPSMAP 7x2/9x2 series.
