The contract is for eight lifeboats and davits and one fast rescue boat and davit per rig.
The delivery will be a milestone achievement for Noreq, both in terms of the number of lifeboats supplied and the fact that this will be the first delivery of its newly developed 150 person lifeboat, the LBT 1180.

The SSAVs were engineered by Eide Marine Service, which is a neighbouring company to Noreq. In the development of the two vessels Eide Marine Services chose Noreq as the preferred supplier of lifesaving equipment, and the two companies enjoyed a close and enthusiastic collaboration in finalising the complete scope of the lifesaving package.
