Among the products on display will be the company’s latest DPH drive, featuring an upgraded internal design, complete with the same support and aftermarket care customers expect from the company.
The DPH drive is the latest addition to the company’s D4 to D6 AQ engine range. From July 2014, Volvo Penta will be selling the DPH-D as part of its complete package, along with the AQ engine, the EVC control system and a full Volvo Penta global warranty. This combination enables customers to take full advantage for improved performance, low fuel consumption and fast acceleration.
There have been no installation or dimensional changes, making the DPH-D fully and seamlessly interchangeable with earlier variants.
Keeping a grip on things
The Dutch, German and French navies have all recently installed the Volvo Penta AQ sterndrive range in their new series of rigid-inflatable boats (RIBs), largely due to its high-performance acceleration and agility. The AQ range is also favored by London’s Metropolitan Police, which has equipped its Targa boats on the River Thames with the engine.
“Many rescue and police boat builders visit the show each year, along with military, coastguard and government representatives. The show is a great opportunity for them to see the complete D6-370 DPH drive at our stand,” says Volvo Penta sales project manager Gerard Törneman.
