The new Ocean SOLAS range, which offers liferafts from six-man to 130-man and from Throw Over and Davit to Open Reversible Liferafts (ORL), is the first commercial range the company has designed and launch under the Ocean Safety brand.
Speaking at the launch at Seawork International, Dave Evans, business development manager, Ocean Safety, said: “We want to stay ahead of the industry and developing into the SOLAS liferaft market was a national progression for us. We’ve ensured everything is built around simplicity to reduce cost ownership for our customers. It’s also easier to self-right and is a great alternative to what’s already out there.”
All liferafts in the range are available with various emergency pack options to suit specific requirements in the industry. The flat pack version is designed around the successful small compact military range, which Ocean Safety has been supplying for the past 10 years.
“This marks a quite important milestone for us and will help us grow to become a truly global company,” added Doug Baxter, CEO, 3Si.
The first delivery went out this week.
