The engine is designed for applications ranging from 55kW-410kW and meets regulations for Stage V Inland Waterways and IMO III. It has low operating costs and high reliability.
Barry McCooey, managing director of ML Power Systems, which is the agent for M&H Engineering in the UK, said: “M&H is a Swiss company which has developed a stage V inland waterway marine auxiliary engine to meet the new emissions requirements.
“At the moment M&H Engineering is the only company to launch a Stage V engine. With a 99.5% reduction in NOX emissions, that’s about as clean as you can get.”
He said ML Power Systems is currently in conversation with potential customers including shipyards, passenger carrying vessels and port authorities about orders for the engine.
M&H can modify bespoke design engine applications. A five year warranty is provided on all the engines and propulsion engines are backed up with a ZF gearbox.
