AIR currently produces Contur Propellers made from fibre compound plastics which automatically adjust the propeller pitch independent of the thrust coefficient, so that optimum propulsion efficiency is achieved across the entire load range of the ship. AIR is also working on the innovative drive concepts ‘Inline Thruster’ and Vector-Prop’, which will soon be launched into the market.
AIR’s marine propulsion innovations are expected to complement those of Voith Turbo Marine as they are incorporated into the development and marketing of entire ships’ concepts.
