Next generation boat impact recorder launched

Sweden based suspension seating specialist Ullman Dynamics has launched a new portable accelerometer/data-logger for impact exposure on high speed platforms.

The Dyena Acceleration Recorder, the DaccR, is easy to use and it presents impact and acceleration data graphically, illustrating peak impact values and GPS tracking over time.

Ullman Dynamics has worked on specifications and development of the DaccR, which has been thoroughly tested and validated at sea by scientists and HS boat professionals. It can be used for measuring hull vibration and/or human impact exposure. To measure both hull and whole-body exposure simultaneously, two DaccRs are needed.

The DaccR runs on 9, 12 or 24 Volts and can record up to months of exposure. Results can be presented in graphical form or in spreadsheets and view graphs.

It can be used for measuring hull impact and human impact exposure, route tracking and evaluation, driving performance analysis, accident investigation, and warranty or liability control.

Dr. Johan Ullman, the MD who pioneered the scientific field on human impact on high- speed boats and has done research in the this field since 1997 said, Back then we had to bring 70-80 kg of accelerometers, band stations, amplifiers and batteries onboard to record impacts.
