The extreme deep-V boat has already received good reviews in the private sector buts the company says it’s more commercially aligned.
It features a fast hull constructed from top grade aluminium which is said to be 50% stronger than the usual 5754 grade for this size of craft. It also features a 24/7 central cabin format for year-round applications in all weathers.
Wessex Marine says the new vessel has all the abilities of a RIB combined with greater flexibility and format of accommodation and open cockpits fore and aft.
Also on show this year will be the Targa 32, which the company says has proved itself as an able and even more comfortable successor for its Targa 31, which has been a popular choice for police and fast patrol roles.
Like all Targa models, the 32 can be configured for any commercial role and compliance to MCA requirements or Nordic Workboat Standard can easily be specified.
A spokesperson for Wessex Marine told Maritime Journal: “As one of Seawork’s longest standing exhibitors, we are looking forward to exhibiting not one, but two craft at this year’s show. The show continues to grow from strength to strength and is the ideal place for us to showcase the latest model of Targa 32, alongside the exciting show debut of the new XO 270RS.”
“The XO range has already enjoyed great reviews in the private sector, but with its commercially-based ancestry we are very much looking forward to presenting it to the professional market for the first time with the debut of the 270 expected to be a real showpiece of Seawork 2014,” the spokesperson added.
