The Dorset based company is UK distributor for the Sublift semi-submersible boat lift system from Anytec Marine AB of Sweden as well as the American manufacturers Connect-A-Dock and Golden Boat Lifts.<\/p>\n
Sublift will appeal to boatyard operators with its combined abilities to launch, recover and store boats in a single unit.<\/p>\n
Developed in cooperation with Swedish boat clubs and the Swedish Ministry of Defence, Sublift is available with a range of lifting capacities from 10 to 400 tonnes, with larger units currently on the drawing board.<\/p>\n
The remote-controlled Sublift can be operated by one person, moving boats to and from the water quicker and more easily than conventional lifts and tractors.<\/p>\n
With its diesel engine and controls located in a diving bell, the unit is semi-submersible.<\/p>\n
It will drive straight into the water to collect or deliver a boat and can also set boats on to cradles or lift them off trucks.<\/p>\n
Self-propelled and with a remote control box, Sublift carries a boat securely on slings mounted on hydraulic posts which automatically control the angle of the boat. Thus when moving up a steep slipway, the boat is always held in a horizontal position. The unit’s speed across the ground can be varied from zero to a fast walking pace. The operator’s handset indicates the weight of the load together with the weight distribution of the boat between the slings.<\/p>\n
Anytec Marine is involved from the customer’s planning stage with the complete design of both the unit and, if necessary, the ramp. As Sublift can operate almost anywhere, Anytec will design and supply a permanent or semi-permanent ramp for use in remote locations and\/or where there is no existing ramp.<\/p>\n
