Ocean Safety now designs and manufactures the Para Anchor range in the UK and has already increased capacity to meet expanding demand. The acquisition significantly expands the manufacturing facility at Ocean Safety.<\/p>\n
Explaining why Ocean Safety purchased Para Anchor, managing director Charlie Mill said: \u201cWe were already a very large customer of Para Anchor and Ocean Safety has distributed the brand throughout Europe for a good number of years. It was a natural progression for us to take over the reins, ensuring the expansion and future development of the brand.\u201d<\/p>\n
The parachute style anchors are made of high density high visibility nylon fitted with a sinking chain and retrieval line. A Para Drogue is deployed from the stern to give greater control downwind when running before heavy seas. It can also be rigged as an emergency steering device and help prevent overtaking when under tow.<\/p>\n
The Para Anchor is valuable for all types of fishing vessels, workboats and offshore support vessels, enabling a boat to drift at the same rate as the tide. The Para Anchor standard range is suitable for vessels up to 18m (56ft) and the Para Drogue range for vessels up to 25m (80ft).<\/p>\n
