The Mini DFU is a small, portable completely dust free vacuum blaster, particularly suited for coatings removal and surface prep on small areas where space is limited and no dust can be tolerated.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere isn\u2019t another small dust-free recycling version on the market,\u201d Ian Simmonds, director, Precision Blast Systems told Maritime Journal<\/em>.<\/p>\n \u201cThis machine is fully air powered and recycles the abrasive from the blast head which reduces waste, it is relatively small and lightweight compared to standard machines. It is well suited for small areas on modules, pipelines, fabrications and machinery where good surface preparation is required with no dust.”<\/p>\n The BlastMate-ECO is a precision blast cleaning system that can operate both dry and wet with a range of abrasives, its accurate control means it is well suited to anti-foul removal especially on GRP and aluminium vessels without the dust and waste associated with conventional blasting<\/p>\n The system will be on the company\u2019s stand at Seawork International this year, where Mr Simmons said the company will particularly be targeting harbours and marinas where anti-foul removal is generally seen as a problem with contractors brought in who often provide an unsatisfactory service.<\/p>\n Mr Simmonds told MJ<\/em>: \u201cWe want to show marinas that they can provide an in-house anti-foul removal service themselves providing a profit opportunity whilst removing the problems often associated with outside contractors.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cThis is a job that has to be done regularly,\u201d Mr Simmonds said. \u201cWe can provide the way to do it efficiently including equipment and training.
