The Hytera digital radios replace analogue two-way radios, which, according to St Katharine Docks, struggled to fulfil communication demands across the complex, with the 30+ staff commonly reporting coverage issues.<\/p>\n
Durable lithium ion batteries<\/strong><\/p>\n Hytera partner Chatterbox supplied the team with Hytera PD785 and X1p radios. The DMR devices are designed to be compact and lightweight, meaning they are easily portable.<\/p>\n Featuring lithium ion batteries, the handsets have a lengthy talk time per charge, which met the team\u2019s high usage requirements and need to relay time-sensitive information quickly and efficiently.<\/p>\n The Hytera system also offers a \u2018Priority Interrupt\u2019 feature, which enables management users to interrupt all voice communications on a channel to relay crucial information to all radio users simultaneously if required.<\/p>\n Chatterbox leased the technology to St Katharine Docks and will provide support, training and future upgrades and scaling where necessary.<\/p>\n Extra functionality can be added to the radios in line with emerging technologies.<\/p>\n St Katharine Docks is central London\u2019s only marina and home to a variety of high-end restaurants, bars and offices.
