Stormline\u2019s Crew 640 bib overalls and Crew 225 jacket range feature heavy duty \u2018glove-friendly\u2019 zippers designed to address the issue of aquaculture and fish farming workers having to remove their gloves just to grip their zips.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019ve worked with professionals in these sectors in Scotland, New Zealand and Australia to discover exactly what they need from their waterproof workwear and the feedback has lead us to develop a product that\u2019s affordable and long-lasting,\u201d said Regan McMillan, director of Stormline.<\/p>\n
Industry feedback<\/strong><\/p>\n Mr McMillan explained that for the new range, Stormline has invested heavily in new, highly resilient PVC that\u2019s “sensibly priced, but highly durable.”<\/p>\n \u201cFish farmers also explained that comfort, mobility and glove-friendly zips were high priorities for them. All of our gear is designed to distribute its own weight, to eliminate wearer fatigue and ensure that the wearer is comfortable, productive and most importantly – dry, all day long,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n The product range was designed after almost a year of research and development centred around feedback and insights from aquaculture and fish-farming professionals.<\/p>\n Safety and practicality were the key concerns raised during Stormline\u2019s consultation with the industry.
