Channel Islands tunnel to France - dream or reality?

An idea that once seemed ridiculous has become a real possibility, says the brains behind a tunnel between the Channel Islands and France.

Holes would be blasted and large chunks of rubble excavated possibly by sinking shafts into the route of the tunnel, into the seabed, then working in stages.
