Irish navaids manufacturer, JFC, has been awarded the ‘Excellence in Marine Technology’ award.

The Marine Industry Awards 2016, in association with SeaFest, provide a voice for the individuals and companies that play a significant role in the growth and development of the industry in Ireland while recognising the key functions within the industry that promote growth and sustainability.

JFC Marine was presented with the award for its range of floating aids to navigation. This range covers from 2.6m – 3.0m diameter buoys and is branded the Seagull after the first purpose built Irish light vessel in 1824.

Designed for use for both inshore and offshore applications these modular designed buoys aim to set a new standard in floating Aids to Navigation.  JFC Marine has considered all aspects of the buoys’ life at sea which are designed and manufactured for the most demanding conditions using superior quality materials and considering ease of assembly both onshore or on deck of support vessels. JFC claims they also boast excellent stability characteristics, power system versatility, and environmental credentials.

“The key to the product success and innovation of JFC Manufacturing is in the research and development phases and the production facilities we have established here in Galway, Ireland. We have built an excellent young expert and ambitious team who are capable of bringing the company through the next phase of growth to a new scale and to new market areas. The word ‘fear’ does not exist in the JFC vocabulary; we seek continuous improvement and progress – onwards and upwards!” Commented John Concannon (Managing Director JFC Manufacturing)

An established manufacturing concern that enhanced and upgraded its range of navaids in 2015, JFC Manufacturing was founded by John Concannon in Tuam, Co. Galway. JFC Marine is headed up by his son Colin Concannon who has been involved in the business for over a decade. JFC Marine offers an extensive range of Aids to Navigation, Navigation Buoys, Solar Marine Lanterns, Monitoring and Control Systems, to suit all marine applications.
