Seawork International exhibitor Stormer Marine has recently signed an agreement with OHT AS for the production of a Rescue 75 with 220hp jet drive inboard. OHT will be using the boat as a line handling boat during offshore / inshore semi-submersible heavy lift operations. The boat will be running the mooring lines from the heavy lift carrier to the cargo which normally is an oil rig.

The vessel, 7m long and 2.35m wide, is equipped with a Henriksen quick release hook to be lifted on and off a larger mother vessel and a removable robe protection cage. The 220 hp Yanmar inboard with Alamarin-jet ensures that the vessel is very manoevrable during the lift operations. The push bow and rubber fender around the hull make the Resque a very basic, robust and easy to handle boat. The R75 can easily be built in a different configuration or drive line. Its manufacturers claim the Stormer Resque is a versatile vessel that, beside mooring and line handling, can be used for rescue services, diving assistance, coastguard duty, harbour maintenance and as a multipurpose workboat. The Resque 75 is containerable on a 40ft flat-rack.
