Parker Kittiwake, the condition monitoring technology specialist, has announced the appointment of a new distribution partner in Denmark.

The agreement with Insatech A/S increases the size and scope of Parker Kittiwake’s global footprint and underlines the company’s commitment to supporting the maritime industry in unlocking the commercial potential of condition-based maintenance.

 Advances in technology, connectivity, and data collection are increasingly being combined and analysed to dramatically improve vessel efficiency, profitability and regulatory compliance. While period based, ‘planned’ maintenance remains the most common approach, progressive shipowners and operators are recognising the value of understanding when issues are likely to arise so they can align their maintenance schedules with their overall business aims and maximise vessel uptime.

Larry Rumbol, Marine Condition Monitoring Manager, Parker Kittiwake explained: “Parker Kittiwake’s expanding marine distributor network enables us to provide greater access to highly trained professionals, such as Insatech’s, who can provide detailed, application-specific information, impact on operational costs and predicted ROI to our customers.”

Unlike many of its competitors, Insatech A/S not only provides key instrumentation for performance-related measurements, but can also complete all of the required work on a vessel from start to finish.

For 24 years, Parker Kittiwake has been designing, developing and manufacturing condition monitoring and test equipment for lube oil, hydraulic oil and fuels.
