Over 350 delegates are expected to attend the International Federation of Hydrographic Societies' 25th symposium and exhibition on-board the SS Rotterdam from 14-16th November 2017.
Organised by the Hydrographic Society Benelux, on behalf of the nine-member organisation, the three-day English-language event will be making its third appearance in the famous maritime city of Rotterdam, and its second aboard the historic vessel moored on the south bank of the port.
Hydro17 will feature more than 50 technical presentations and 30 exhibiting organisations from across Europe and beyond, as well as an extensive series of poster sessions, specialist tutorials, classroom and water-based demonstrations and excursions, as well as a range of networking opportunities.
The programme will include keynote addresses from industry luminaries Dr Mathias Jonas, the newly appointed Director-General of the IHO, and the UK science journalist and broadcaster, current Science Correspondent at ITN News and author of The Water Book, Alok Jha. Key hydrographic topics covered in the ten themed sessions include Airborne and LiDAR Surveys, Data Processing, Bathymetry, Autonomous Survey, Backscatter, Construction Support, Morphology, Education and Cross-border Challenges.
Conference proceedings also include a number of student presentations and the announcement of the winner of the prestigious IFHS Student Award for 2017.
Full programme details together with online registration are available at www.hydro17.com.
