Increasing confidence in energy storage field
Energy storage product specialist Plan B Energy Storage (PBES) has achieved certification to ISO 9001:2015 which may indicate the market and regulators’ increasing confidence in the technology.
The certification from DNV GL Business Assurance Norway AS reaffirms the company’s ability to deliver effective quality management systems and drive ongoing product improvements.
“Our goal is to provide our customers the safest, highest quality industrial energy storage products,” said Brent Perry, CEO, PBES.
“By obtaining the ISO 9001:2015 certification, we are demonstrating our commitment to our clients’ successes, as well as our dedication to making our own organisation more efficient. As a result, we can better serve our customers and make our own operations more efficient.”
The PBES energy storage system has been designed to the highest standards of performance, safety and sustainability.
Featuring PBES’ patented CellCool cell level liquid cooling, ThermalStop anti-propagation barrier, E-Vent gas venting system and CellSwap battery re-coring, it is designed to seamlessly integrate with all types of power generation in a variety of commercial and industrial applications.
PBES said this certification is an important step forwards for the acceptance of battery technology within the marine industry.
It builds on October’s DNV GL Type Approval of the PBES energy storage system for use in commercial marine, offshore oil and gas and renewable energy applications.
Together, these achievements demonstrate the rapid pace of development the marine industry is experiencing in the energy storage field.
