Lifesaving robot improves safety at sea
A quick and efficient robotic lifesaving product has been launched to help improve safety at sea during rescue operations.
OceanAlpha’s self-propelled Dolphin 1 remote control lifebuoy features a strong water-jet propulsion and can both reach and bring back a person quickly and transport a lifeguard to an unconscious MOB.
“The Dolphin 1 is controlled by the same on/off button with the remote controller, which means Dolphin 1 can be launched immediately when an accident happened and can be turn on remotely after it’s thrown into water,” said OceanAlpha.
Big surface area
Due to a ‘ray shark’ shape to provide maximum surface area and a flat hull with PE hull material, Dolphin 1 offers enough buoyancy for two adults to float on the surface of the water and wait for a bigger boat to pick them up.
If Dolphin 1 is flipped upside down by waves or random launching positions, users can hold the reverse bottom to drive the machine backwards and flip it over in seconds.
