Mersey Marine Power Study Launched

The potential for generating electricity by tidal and wave power on the Mersey Estuary is to be considered in a major study initiated by Peel Holdings Group and the Northwest Regional Development Agency (NWDA).

The Mersey Docks and Harbour Company already operates six wind turbines at the mouth of the river.
