Tangiers New Transhipment Port Nears Completion
UK consultancy Royal Haskoning which has played a key role in the development of Moroccos Tanger-Med port, currently under construction and due to begin operations in 2007, has provided an update on the companys role in the project. The £ 1.3 billion project is located on the Strait of Gibraltar, 15km from mainland Europe and 35km from Tangiers, and will play an important role in the worlds container traffic network.
