MapView Adds Tracking to SSAS
Gloucestershire UK based Satamatics has launched MapView , a web based mapping utility designed to further expand the capability of their Ship Security Alert System O cean Alert . The MapView option will allow ship owners to view the location and trace history of all their vessels via the Ocean Alert website, as well as receiving positional, speed and course data in a tabular format.
The MapView option will assist the ship owner to immediately locate any vessel in alert status and pass this information directly to the appropriate Flag State.
The new MapView facility will also enable ship owners to use their Ocean Alert SSAS equipment as a highly cost effective Vessel Monitoring System (VMS) solution to track and trace their vessels worldwide. Shipping operators will be able to view their entire fleet marked on a world map or alternatively zoom into an individual vessel’s precise location.
Ocean Alert meets and exceeds all SOLAS XI-2/6 regulations whilst providing many optional add on services.
