Gripping name change

The shipyard has produced a large number of tugs of this type, based on a very successful design from Robert Allan Ltd. Over the years the original design has been refined in the light of experience gained locally and through other operators also using vessels built by Irving. In this instance the tugs are required to meet the requirements of Lloyds Register Ice Class 1A FS for operation in Scandinavian waters.An expansion into new product areas and new applications has led to a name change for Fibreglass Gratings Ltd, which is now called Dura Composites Ltd. As Fibreglass Gratings the company undertook numerous installations of its slip-proof decking products for piers, pontoons and marinas. Dura Composites will now supply Dura Dock 100% composite pontoons equipped with either Marina Deck or Dura Deck surfaces depending on whether grip or aesthetics is the highest priority.
