Global power generation company International Power has signed a term agreement with Associated British Ports to use the new £ 44.5 million coal facility being built by extending the Humber International Terminal (HIT) at ABPs Port of Immingham (see MJ September 2004, page 25).

London & Regional Properties hasannounced a planning application for a £400 million residential property development at Granite, Lovells, Badcocks and Pipers wharves in Greenwich.

International’s fuel manager Bob Kendrick said, ‘There is a real need for the specialist facility being developed at Immingham, which will handle imported coal for our power station at Rugeley, near Birmingham.’
