River Service Guaranteed

A £ 269,000 deal between Transport for London (TfL), Greenwich Council, and Thames Clippers guarantees a continuing passenger service on the River Thames between the O2 arena in Greenwich and Woolwich Arsenal until 2013. The subsidy, jointly funded by TfL and Greenwich Council, mean that current levels of service between the QEII and Woolwich Arsenal piers will be maintained. Thames Clippers has served the Woolwich Arsenal pier since June 2005.
