Site purchase for SAR HQ
Agreement has been reached on the purchase of a suitable site for the proposed new Doolin Search and Rescue Headquarters in Ireland.
The Tamar is faster than its predecessor, and is the most technologically advanced lifeboat ever to be produced by the RNLI.The new site is located close to the existing headquarters, which is restricted in terms of both access and size. Officials from Ireland’s Office of Public Works (OPW) are currently preparing planning documentation and stress that the construction process will proceed as quickly as possible.
