FleetBroadband Launches
Global satcomms provider Inmarsat has launched FleetBroadband, its new commercial service delivering voice and high speed data services for maritime users.
A professional tour of the Port of CapeTown takes place on the afternoon session of Wednesday 15 May, followed by a free social evening. A Sponsored Theme Dinner takes place on the Tuesday evening and the traditional Congress Dinner will take place on Thursday evening.The newest member of the Fleet family, FleetBroadband claims to be the first fully IP based service, capable of supporting simultaneous voice and broadband IP data connectivity at up to 432kbps.Using Inmarsat’s latest generation satellites, the service will initially be available in the Indian and Atlantic Ocean regions.
