Autronica Acquisition
Autronica Fire and Security has acquired Kongsberg Maritimes fire protection business for just under £ 5m. The new business, a division of Kongsberg Maritime Ship Systems, will gain greater access to global marine markets through Autronica and its sister companies.
The approval was released by the Commandant for the USCG through Notice 16500, ‘Equipment for Discrepancy Buoy/Small Lighted Buoys Applications’.
The two companies already have a close relationship, with the latter selling Autronica’s AutroSafe fire alarm system in the marine market alongside its own AutroMaster colour-graphic management system.
