Jolly Good Fellow
HRH The Princess Royal has accepted an invitation to become an Honorary Fellow of the Institute of Marine Engineering, Science and Technology (IMarEST). She follows in the footsteps of her father, HRH The Duke of Edinburgh, who became an Honorary Fellow in 1949 and was IMarESTs President in 1962. IMarEST has over 15,000 members spread throughout 102 countries.
The object of PEARL is to develop a port environmental data management system platform which will ‘fuse’ environmental monitoring data gathered from local and satellite-borne sources and allow interested parties to access a wide range of port related environmental information from one central source.
