Growth for Port of London
The Port of London Authority hasreported a 4.5% boost in cargo handling last year, taking its total to 53.3 million tons. The PLAs latest Annual Review also reports that steps are underway to bring three unused wharves on the River Thames in Central London back into working use.
Commenting on the acquisition, Thornycroft’s Andrew Ross said, ‘We have been very impressed with Newage’s performance in terms of reducing manufacturing costs, its ongoing development of new products such as StepDrive, and continuing sales growth in tough international markets around the world.
