East Coast UK engine supplier Volspec Ltd dominated the recent Volvo Penta Dealer Conference in the Canary Islands by scooping Dealer of the Year Award and Volvo Penta Gold Awards for outstanding sales and market support performance. Volspec also won Dealer of the Year in 1982, 1990 and 2002 and is the only company to carry off the title four times. The company capped a successful 2005 with a £ 900,000 order to supply power generators for RTGs in the Far East.
The contract award represents the culmination of a three year study of vessel wash research which was conducted by Southampton University and contributes to the outcome of the navigational risk assessment in the Upper District, undertaken for the PLA’s harbour master by the Salvage Association.
