The Thames passenger vessel Elizabethan observed a man fall into the Thames without a lifejacket while securing a workboat last month. The Elizabethan sent a distress call to London Coastguard.

London Coastguard immediately requested the launch of the RNLI Tower Pier Inshore Lifeboat. The RNLI lifeboat recovered the man from the very cold river just four minutes after the initial call from the Elizabethan.
