Vetus Auctioned
Dutch marine equipment manufacturer and supplierVetus Den Ouden has been acquired by ABN AMRO Capital, the private equitybusiness of ABN AMRO, in a competitive auction.
The managing director of the Port of Kiel (SEEHAFEN KIEL GmbH & Co KG), Dirk Claus said, ‘This is an important step in the development of our port. Container handling represents a new business sector for Kiel.’ Vetus supplies engines and engine parts, bow thrusters, ‘around the engine’ products, and equipment such as pumps and deck hardware for leisure craft and small commercial vessels. The Vetus management team have invested in their company and plan to steer it towards international growth.
