Camarc/ Kvichak for Savannah Pilots
The Savannah Pilots of Savannah, Georgia USA have ordered a new 78ft pilot boat designed by the UKs Camarc Ltd which will be built at Kvichak Marine Industries of Seattle USA. The all aluminium crafts broad beam of 21ft 5in is expected to provide fine sea keeping and manoeuvrability characteristics, Main engines for the vessel will be a pair of Cummins KTA38 M2 units with a heavy duty rating for 1,350hp each at 1,900rpm. The engines will power Hamilton 651 waterjets through ZF2550 marine gears.
