PLA Quality Awards
The Port of London Authority (PLA) has received two certifications from Lloyds Register Quality Assurance.
Helmut Werner, MD of the JWP project company aiming to get the terminal into operation by about 2010, told MJ, ‘We want to start building this year if possible, in order to have the first 1,000m pier section, transport links and required areas ready for operation for site concession holders Eurogate by the end of 2009’.
ISO 14001 underlines the PLA’s commitment to good environmental practice through all aspects of its work and demonstrates that the PLA environmental management system meets internationally recognised standards. ISO 9001 acknowledges that the PLA’s quality management system has met international standards for a ninth straight year.
