New Valeport tide gauge
Instrumentation specialists Valeport of Totnes, Devon UK have launched TideMaster, a new versatile tide gauge designed for both short and long term applications.
Replacing the company’s earlier, widely used 740 model and easily deployed, it is claimed to be ideal for a wide range of fixed or portable survey and tide monitoring operations.
With an optional control and display panel, Bluetooth, a 512MB SD card memory and an optional weather sensor, the system also features low power consumption and a pre-programmed or user selectable sampling process allowing for up to a year’s autonomous operation.
Optional telemetry packages can extend capabilities for real time operation while a complete system is compatible with a wide range of hydrographic software and tools. Windows type software is supplied for downloading and display of recorded or real time data from single or multiple gauges.
