Maintenance dredging enhances marina
Maintenance dredging of the visitor berths at Sparkes Marina on the south coast of the UK got under way early in March.
The dredged material was disposed of at the Nab Tower Spoil Grounds. Dredging was undertaken by the 22m backhoe dredger Witton II, which was towed to and from the site by the 20m tug Wyeforce. Dredged material was transported for disposal in the split hopper barge Split Two (42m).
