Tideminders roll with the flow at Seawork
Poole UK based Marine Components International will be introducing a new mooring aid to the market at Seawork 2012.
Invented in the USA, Tideminders could prove invaluable to operators mooring to piles and any other vertical mooring post.
The Tideminders system for controlling dock and mooring lines in tidal or choppy waters is deceptively simple. The string of floating balls protects the line against fouling and chafing, rolling up and down any size of round or square piling with the tide, eliminating the need to constantly adjust lines during storms or tidal changes.
As the virtually indestructible balls move up and down, they offer constant tension with built-in shock absorption.
Available in black or white, they come in a box set of nine to mount on existing mooring lines without tools, all that is required is the ability to tie a figure eight knot. Tideminders come with a 10 year warranty and can be seen on Stand B75 at Seawork 2012.
