Desktop workboat design
(France – UK) Engineering software solutions provider Desktop Engineering (DTE), an accredited business partner of Dassault Systèmes, has created a new team that will focus on the marine and offshore sector, and in particular the yachts and workboat sectors.
DTE has extensive skills and experience in implementing and supporting Dassault Systѐmes 3D Experience solutions. For the marine sector, DTE will initially be offering solutions that concentrate on product innovation, safety and environmental impact compliance, delay optimization, operational efficiency and zero defects.
Also for marine, DTE will be leveraging the strengths of the Dassault Systèmes 3D Experience platform, with CATIA for defining the virtual product, DELMIA for digital manufacturing, ENOVIA for collaboration and business process management and 3DVIA for consumer experiences. These products will enable companies within the marine sector to design and analyze multi-disciplinary 3D data, from structure to fluid system, within a single digital mockup to ensure that the ship is built right the first time.
