Big business for PSP
Worldwide logistics and freight forwarding company, PSP, has seen an increase in business with commercial boat transportation.
PSP has reported a 20% increase in non-leisure boat shipments due to a higher demand for ferry and hovercraft transportation.
The news follows PSP’s announcement in January that it has increased the turnover generated by its leisure boat transportation service by 20% in 2011.
Fresh from PSP managing director, Frank Dixie said: “The exhibition this year was larger than ever before and one must applaud Seawork for organising the weather. We picked up a couple of good contracts during the show so will definitely be there again next year.”
He explained: “A key driver in the increased revenue for the non-leisure arm of our business has been the influx of requests to transport ferries across the world. Older models – be they hovercraft or catamarans – are often highly sought after once they have completed their time as passenger ferries and we are benefitting from this growing demand to transport them cross trade.”
