Recaro Sun Marine seats riding high
Netherlands based Recaro Maritime is riding high on the success of the launch of the newly designed and tested range of Sun Marine passenger seats at Seawork 2012.
Sepers in Holland was the first yard to order 25 seats for a Crew Transfer Vessel and Recaro Maritime dealers are also reporting strong interest from Turbine Transfer operators.
Victor Willems, general manager of Sun Marine Seats, said: “With increasingly long transfer times of up to three hours each way, operators are placing more focus on quality, durability, correct ergonomics and comfort.”
Three different seat types were successfully crash tested earlier in the year to the IMO HSC Code in both forward and rear facing directions mounted onto specially designed modules.
The Recaro Maritime Northsea, already a favourite with helmsmen onboard high speed craft around the world, is fitted with a four point belt and has Certification to HSC Annex 10.
With a two point aircraft type belt, the Recaro Atlantic provides both affordability and comfort for long journeys.
The Recaro Caspian, already one of the most advanced helmsman seats available on the market today, completes the trio.
The seats have full electrical adjustments, so now both crew and passengers can experience first class aircraft-type seating comfort. Entertainment modules and a host of other refinements can also be built into the seats.
