Engineering Excellence awards
The UK’s Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) has launched its inaugural Wessex Region Engineering Excellence Awards to celebrate the best of engineering talent from across the region.
Nick Schulkins, Chair of the Wessex Region, said: “The Wessex Region is home to a huge amount of excellent marine companies, many of which have engineering at the heart of their business. Sunseeker, Griffon Hoverwork, Supacat, BAE Systems, Ben Ainslie Racing, and so many others are all paving the way for innovative marine engineering in Wessex, and we’re looking forward to highlighting some of them at the upcoming awards.”
The award categories are: Outstanding Product of the Year, Outstanding Project of the Year and Wessex Region Manufacturer of the Year.
To nominate any company, project or product, email WessexAwards@imeche.org and complete the application form by 30 July.
The black tie awards event, sponsored by Trant Engineering, will be held at Winchester Guildhall on 9 October 2015.
