Marine renewable energy conference
The first edition of the marine renewable energy conference, Manche, is set to take place on 6 and 7 October in Le Havre.
Dedicated to marine renewable energy in the Normandy region, the conference will act as a networking opportunity for companies looking to enter the rapidly growing French market.
It will focus on both fixed and floating offshore wind, tidal stream and wave energy, with a special emphasis on vessels, ports and logistics.
International exhibitors will be in attendance – 25% of which are expected to be non-French – on stands and in one of two ‘villages’. The British village will be devoted to British exhibitors of all kinds interested in the French market, while the Vessels village will welcome shipyards, operators, ports, and logistics companies, plus legal experts.
During the two days there will be eight round table panel discussions, B2B meetings and a gala networking dinner.
Around 40 exhibitors are expected to attend. Exhibitors already confirmed include STX, Dieppe Naval, G-Tec and Hutchinson, while 4C Offshore is a confirmed sponsor.
The conference is organised by the Marine Renewable Energy Group (MREG), a provider of information products and services for the global marine renewable energy industry.
