New president for BMT Designers & Planners
Kai Skvarla has been promoted to president of BMT Designers & Planners (BMT), a subsidiary of BMT Group.
Formerly Vice President of Strategic Planning with BMT for the past five years, Mr Skvarla will now concentrate on developing new commercial markets for the firm to generate sustained growth. He will be responsible for leading the business in implementing strategy, direction and policy, ensuring the company continues to provide an extensive range of specialist services to its local and international defence customers.
“Over the last five years he [Kai Skvarla] has demonstrated he has what it takes to lead this company to new heights of success,” said Charlie Behrle, regional director, BMT Group. “I am looking forward to seeing his energy and business acumen result in BMT continuing its return to a ‘go to’ naval architecture and marine engineering firm.”
Mr Skvarla has a Master’s Degree in Business Administration, a Bachelor’s of Science in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering as well as Aerospace Engineering, and is a Licensed Professional Engineer.
