Medical monitoring solution for offshore workers
Scotlands National Hyperbaric Centre (NHC) will provide demonstrations of DanMedical’s D-MAS HyperSat medical monitoring system at SubSea Expo 2016.
DanMedical’s solution enables real-time medical monitoring of patients offshore, including divers.
Specialists doctors based onshore can provide expert medical diagnosis and advice to support a patient who is working offshore.
Laura Stuart, NHC’s general manager, said: “NHC is committed to improving the safety of subsea operations through promoting world class equipment and training.”
She added: “We share this commitment to safety with DanMedical and we look forward to demonstrating the D-MAS system at SubSea Expo 2016 in Aberdeen.”
The D-MAS can measure the patient’s heart rhythm and ECF, blood pressure, blood oxygen content and core temperature. As well as medical images in still or video format.
It is now deployed by many leading offshore energy contractors and medical advisors all over the world.
“In these tough times, implementing innovative medical practice can both save lies and deliver business benefits,” said Peter Couldery, CEO of DanMedical.
“I’m looking forward to SubSea Expo to meet the leading offshore operators to talk through these issues,” he concluded.
