Mastervolt sponsors Dutch sea rescue institution
Dutch company Mastervolt has announced that it is sponsoring the Royal Netherlands Sea Rescue Initiation (KNRM).
It aims to ensure that the KNRM teams have a safer working environment through providing equipment and training for installers within the framework of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) policy.
Ton de Winter, CEO of Mastervolt, said: “The rescue staff should be able to perform their tasks in a way that is as safe as possible, enabling them to save more lives without compromising their own safety. We want to help them achieve this.”
“At Mastervolt we find it important that the causes we sponsor are close to our hearts,” he added.
Mastervolt is giving the KNRM a lifelong guarantee on all Mastervolt products it uses, and providing an annual budget for purchasing new products for both new builds and existing vessels.
The company will also support the KNRM with advice and assistance in the design and optimisation of the electrical systems on board its vessels and vehicles.
“We work closely with various training institutes and schools, train interns, and focus on creating sustainable products. Mastervolt also supports a number of charities, including the Live Your Dream Foundation,” explained Mr Winter.
He continued: “Our origins are in the maritime world, however, which is why the KNRM suits us so well. Mastervolt products can withstand extreme conditions, as has been seen by their excellent performance in the Volvo Ocean Race. The KNRM faces similar challenges on a daily basis.”
