Europort Romania 2016
From 10 to 12 May 2016 the 11th edition of Europort Romania took place in main port city Constanta. During the maritime networking event, a record number of 63 maritime equipment and service suppliers met with over 500 maritime professionals, from Romania as well as from other Black Sea countries.
These visitors included the management of shipyards, sea and river ship owners, marine equipment trading companies, port management, salvage companies, towage and harbour services, cargo handling companies, navigation channel administration companies, navy authorities and naval architects.
“It is a true testament to the Romanian Industry that we have made Constanta our home so many times and with so much pleasure and success,” said Raymond Siliakus, exhibition manager of Europort. “We were happy to see many familiar faces and welcome so many new companies as well. This shows how Europort Romania is as relevant now as it was when we started this adventure 15 years ago.”
On the opening day a networking reception was held and as is tradition, the Romanian Shipbuilders Organisation ANCONAV organised their members meeting. Furthermore a delegation of 20 companies visited the Constanta shipyard and had a meeting with the purchasing department afterwards.
Europort Romania is organised by Rotterdam Ahoy in cooperation with the Constanta Chamber of Commerce and the Netherlands Embassy in Bucharest. The next edition of Europort Romania is scheduled for May 2018.
