Maritime Study – A call to action
The deadline to take part in a UK maritime growth study has been extended in order to better inform the Government and the industry’s plan to tackle pressing issues such as Brexit.
This study forms part of the inquiry launched by the Transport Committee back in December 2016 into the Maritime Growth Study (MGS), a report on the UK’s maritime sector originally published by the Department for Transport in September 2015.
The Committee is particularly keen to receive submissions from individuals and companies engaged in the full range of maritime and marine businesses and associated services including consultancy, law, and financial services.
Written submissions are requested on a variety of topics including the work of the UK maritime industry and the UK Government in providing a coherent vision for the maritime sector as a whole and the adequacy of the overall Brexit plan for the UK maritime sector.
The deadline for written submissions has now been extended to Friday 2 June and this will be succeeded by a series of evidence sessions.
